"I found out about COR Therapeutic through a virtual internship fair at Doane. COR stood out for several reasons.  First, there was a focus on teamwork, which appealed to me. COR plans monthly events for all employees to encourage wellness, socialization, team-building, continuing education, as well as promoting community-oriented service. The monthly meetings enhance communication between all departments in a fun and interactive setting.  From my first all-staff meeting, I noted a sense of camaraderie and support that was unlike any other place I have worked. Second, I found the therapists to be incredibly supportive.  Therapists were willing to let me sit in on sessions, participate in teaching classes, and observe groups. I learned a great deal about the diverse range of services that COR provides. My supervisor and other therapists assisted me in finding hours that aligned with my interest areas.  I worked in the school setting, with families in home-based services, youth diversion, and individual counseling.  The variety of opportunities gave me insight into different specialties within the counseling profession, and gave me opportunities that covered a wide range of experiences I might find in the field. COR offers a variety of experiences and professional guidance in a friendly and supportive workplace.  Staff work well together and have fun along the way.  I would highly recommend COR as an internship site! I look forward to continuing my employment with COR!"

"I have enjoyed my internship at COR because my supervisor works with me to make sure that I have the opportunities to experience the broad range of services that COR has to offer. I have been included in the friendly work atmosphere and never felt like I was going at things alone. Overall, I have been given the opportunity to learn and grow within a community of competent helping professionals."

“My master’s internship at COR was such an exciting learning experience. The staff are so welcoming and create a space where you are encouraged to learn and grown with every opportunity. Having supervisors that invest in your own mental health and well-being makes it feel like more than just a job. There are so many positive things I could say about COR. They offer a positive work environment, they create a safe space where you can ask for help and be offered additional assistance in whatever way you need, they celebrate the “big” things and the “small” things, and they are flexible and understanding when life happens, and you need extra coverage/support.”

"My internship with COR has been absolutely amazing! I have felt not only supported and guided but appreciated and part of a team. COR's values allowed me to be my best self while learning new skills and truly practicing my passion of helping others. Flexibility and communication were provided including guidance with scheduling between my internship hours, school and my family. I had the opportunity to shadow many different areas. I was allowed to create a comfortable case load for myself, and had weekly supervision for personalized growth and guidance navigating diverse situations. I have learned so much through my internship with COR. I appreciate the opportunity and experience working with the COR family."

"I am very grateful for the positive experience I gained while completing my practicum and internship hours with COR. COR gave me the opportunity to get hands-on experience with many different types of clientele/situations and I never had to worry about not getting my needed hours. I was able to pick how many hours I wanted in my caseload, so it fit into my schedule. The flexibility was a tremendous help with my busy lifestyle.  COR has a wonderful leadership team! My supervisor was hands down, THE BEST! I looked forward to our weekly supervision and I never felt like I could not ask a question. There is an overwhelming feeling of guidance and support shown by every team “family” member.  COR also wanted to know my feedback as they are always looking to improve or try something new, and they did just that because I asked. I have been able to build a solid base of my professional foundation because of COR. With the quality professionals at my side, I have been able to achieve my goals and I am very excited to see what the future brings."
