"I am a Senior studying psychology at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. I became interested in psychology my freshman year of college. I was previously on a pre-healthcare route but soon realized that I love to walk with people in their daily struggles and emotional hardships. I have worked in home health care for the last two years. Sitting with clients in their hardships has prepared me to have hard conversations but also listen with kindness. I have also volunteered much of my time to serving others, on mission trips, in soup kitchens, and on the streets of Lincoln. Here I have learned to have compassion for people the world so often judges. I hope to bring these insights to this internship this summer."
